Genomics - a few fun facts

WALT: understand about genomics.
Matua Terry came up from Auckland and taught the school about genomics

Chimps are 98% similar to humans

Did you know Humans are 99.9% similar to each other

Atoms don't touch and everything that has ever existed is made out of atoms so humans have never touched any thing.

If you wonder why we can move things its because of the magnetic field around the atoms.

Reflection: I enjoyed the genomics day I learnt heaps. I want to learn more. I had I WONDERS about why our genes are so similar and how atoms dont touch.

  1. Jadyn,
Wow, genomics sounds interesting. You have shared a few interesting facts in your blog post about your learning. I find learning about DNA and atoms fascinating. So much that goes on inside our bodies that we don't even know about. Science is an amazing thing!
One suggestion I have, is to be sure to use CTRL + SHIFT + V when pasting. All the text on your blog will be matching then. :)
Looking forward to reading more of your learning as you share it on your blog. Ka pai!
